Early Morning Care and Extended Day Care

Early Morning Care for the 2011-12 school year will be available to WCS students at 7:30 a.m. daily, and Extended Day Care will be available from 1:30-6:00 p.m. These programs are offered to WCS parents of preschoolers who are waiting on the later dismissal of an older child, parents who are working or are in school, or parents with an emergency or an appointment facilitating the need for child care after school has dismissed.

Each student arriving for Early Morning Care prior to 8:30 a.m. will be billed $3.00 per day for the service. Students arriving after 8:30 will not be billed for Early Morning Care. Enrollment in the program is encouraged in order for us to coordinate staffing.

Enrollment in the Extended Care is required for those wishing to utilize the service (enrollment form attached). Drop-ins are welcomed if space is available. There is a limit to the number of children that we are licensed to accommodate. First priority will be given to those enrolled on the monthly plan.  The monthly plan is the most cost-effective method of utilizing the Extended Day Care program and reserves a guaranteed spot for your child every day. Parents must sign up for the monthly plan in order to take advantage of the lower rates. Otherwise, the daily rate will be charged.

NOTE: Rates are subject to change by the School Board


If a student is enrolled on the monthly plan and scheduled to be picked up at 3:15, the afternoon rate of $7.50 (in addition to the regular Extended Day Care fee) will be assessed should the child not be picked up by 3:30 p.m. Students not picked up by 6:00 p.m. will be charged $10.00 for the first 5 minutes, and $1.00 per minute thereafter, payable on that day. The fee must be paid before the child is allowed to return for Extended Care.

 

Monthly Extended Day Care and drop-in charges will be included on your monthly billing statement (September through June). All charges (tuition, lunch, Extended Care, etc.) may be paid with one check to the school office. Please do not bring payment for the Extended Day Care to the day care. There will be no refunds on the Extended Day Care monthly plan. Written notice must be provided to the office at least 24 hours in advance when withdrawing a student from the Extended Day Care program.
